The Nation's EMS Certification
About us
It has been over five decades since President Johnson’s Committee on Highway Traffic Safety recommended creating a national certification agency to establish uniform standards for training, monitoring, and vetting personnel active in the delivery of emergency ambulance services. The result was the establishment of the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians in 1970. Since its initiation, the National Registry has certified over 2 million EMS providers nationwide. Today, more than 500,000 individuals are nationally certified at the Emergency Medical Responder (EMR), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Advanced-EMT (AEMT), or Paramedic level.

Audited on your recertification application? 🤔 Don't worry, it's a standard part of the National Registry process! Be sure to monitor your account for messages on your dashboard. If your dashboard indicates "Audited" status, you'll need to submit your proof of education in one of two ways: - Attach your certificates and proof of education to the relevant course on your transcript, then email audit@nremt.org to let them know you're ready for electronic review. - OR, email all your proof of education as attachments in a single email to audit@nremt.org. Keep in mind that audits can take up to 30 days to complete. If the 30-day processing period extends beyond the March 31st recertification deadline, it will not negatively impact your recertification. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact the National Registry or your training officer. _________________ #NREMT #EMS #EMT #recertification #audit
